Since 2007, I’ve chosen one word to use as a catalyst to inspire me to live my life with more intention. I’m finding that the older I grow, the more intention and purpose I crave. And, I’m constantly striving to learn to be more present and to live in the moment. This is one discipline I use that helps me stay accountable.
Some of the words I’ve chosen in the past include – purpose, courage, explore, embrace, focus, persevere and thrive. This year, I’ve chosen the word release. My goals include but are not limited to learning to release my fears and live with more courage; to release control and learn to delegate; to release my desire to be perfect and instead celebrate my imperfections; to release my anxiety and learn to enjoy the exhale; and to release my inhibitions so I can explore and love with more freedom.
